Official Synopsis: Two competing meteorologists are forced to find common ground in this opposites attract, When Harry Met Sally inspired romance, from New York Times bestselling author B.K. Borison.
Jackson Clark and Delilah Stewart have had their fair share of run-ins over the years, often ending in disaster. While Jackson thrives on routine and organization from the comfort of his radio booth, Delilah loves the spontaneity and adventure out in the field. When they’re partnered against their will to cover the snowstorm of the century, they find themselves scrambling to figure out how to work together.
Eager to be taken seriously as a journalist, Delilah offers Jackson a deal. If he can help her ace this assignment, she’ll help him rediscover his long-lost fun side. With an undiscovered chemistry burning beneath their clashes, the unlikely partnership quickly tumbles into an easy and surprising friendship.
But when other feelings start to enter the equation, can Jackson and Delilah withstand the storm? Or does what happens in the mountains, stay in the mountains?
When Jackson and Delilah are assigned to work on a project together, after having less than ideal meetings in the past, both of them are unsure. They are being sent off to the mountains to do a joint report on a big snow storm hitting the area. Jackson isn't sure this is the jump he wants but Delilah is determined to prove to the manager of her station that she is meant to be the meteorologist on the channel, even as he tries to make her life hell. As they start to plan the trip, and travel together into the mountains, a series of unfortunately timed events lead them to sharing a room, and one large bed. Both of them are determined to make it work, this arrangement can help them with their careers, and now Jackson feels like he needs to keep Delilah safe.
Everything about the trip seems to be smooth once they are at the hotel, that is until before their first on air moment, when Jackson is freaking out. Delilah helps distract him in the only way she can think of while out in the elements, by grabbing his face and kissing him. The thing is...he kissed her back, and that delivered the best weather report of his career. Now they are a mix of many different emotions, do they have feelings for each other? Or are they stuck together with one bed in a snow storm? Do they even like each other as people? Jackson needs a plan, a back up plan and a calendar that confirms the plan. Delilah is going through life hoping for the best, trying to prove herself to her boss who just doesn't seem to like her. Jackson has custody of his 15-year-old twin sisters, and is determined to keep their life organized and unchaotic. Now Delilah comes in like a tornado and Jackson doesn't know how to control his feelings for her.
As they continue to fight their feelings for each other, while also trying to protect themselves from falling too deep they end up getting caught kissing on a hot mic, and now the entire city of Baltimore is in their business. Now the two meteorologists need to try to keep their reports on track and hope that they can control themselves in the small hotel room during the storm. As Jackson and Delilah try to come to terms with their feelings, they both start to accept that this might not just be something for the mountains, but something they want in the city as well. Especially once Jackson learns about Delilah's boss trying to sabotage her by using him.
This story was honestly super fun. I really enjoyed that they were both meteorologists, I enjoy that we got to see the characters from First Time Caller again, and I love a good 'snowed-in with one only bed' book. Though First Time Caller is the first in the series, you could read this as a standalone if you preferred, though I'd recommend reading it because its just a good book. Both this book and First Time Caller revolve around a radio and TV station and I like that everyone knows everyone and cares about each other through the two books. I think that helps to see the full dynamic of the friend group.
I understand that reading the description of this book would have easily told me that both of the main characters are meteorologists, that being said, when I received this ARC I just knew I really wanted to read it and completely forgot that fact. Meaning, when I started reading I was surprised to see that both Jackson and Delilah are obsessed with the weather and I was all in immediately. Since I can't help but look at how weather was handled in the book, I am happy to say there were only one or two moments where I questions the information and otherwise I found it really accurate and loved how nerdy they were together. Jackson with his nerdy weather information dumping as soon as a camera was on him? So relatable. Some of us just want to talk about the weather but never actually be perceived. I also found Delilah's dreams of being a meteorologist hit really close to home too. She had her reasons for being on TV, but I like that you can see her love for the weather too. Overall, the characters were well researched and I really appreciated that.
I rated this book 4.5 out of 5 stars!
And Now, Back to You, comes out February 24, 2026!
