In the world of luxury dining, bartender Mel is unimpressed by love, until she meets the charismatic, beautiful Bebe... and her partner Kade.

Mel lives in New York in her friend's apartment after being unlucky in love. She is a bartender at a high-end bar who has sworn off relationships, like those she witnesses imploding day in and day out at work. When a charming woman named Bebe starts hanging around, Mel decides to take a chance and start something casual and uncomplicated, but that plan is derailed when she also meets Bebe's partner, the serious, artistic Kade. Can she juggle her romantic life while also finding inspiration for a signature drink contest that reflects the people of New York as Mel knows them best?
This book was heartfelt and hot- everything I want in a contemporary romance read. This adorable take on the love triangle ends in the best way possible for the characters in this LGBTQIA+ read. I want to see this as the solution to other love triangle set-ups in future books of all genres! But only if the relationship is as thought-out as this one was.
I would have liked more time with Mel's best friend, as that relationship sort of fell to the backburner as each chapter passed and didn't feel truly resolved by the end of the book. But the representation in this novel is stellar! If you are looking for a book that is incredibly entertaining, a main character you can root for, and a silly, sensuous, steamy, soft, serious, etc. love life that is written about with tactful descriptions that hook you from the jump, look no further than this read! It was a solid 4/5 Stars for me.
